
ABOUT
I studied Fine Arts with a focus in illustration at Northern Illinois University and have done many portraits for family and friends. (I am currently back at NIU to finish my bachelor's degree in General Studies).
I am a Certificate holder of Boston University's online Genealogical Research Program, and have completed the ProGen Study Groups program. I have also completed the Excelsior College Genetic Genealogy program. In 2019, I received the American Society of Genealogists' Scholar Award.
I have done volunteer work at the St. Charles History Museum, transcribing Civil War-era journals of St. Charles and Fox Valley residents.
I am a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists- Chicago Chapter, the Genealogical Speakers Guild, and am a Past President of the Illinois State Genealogical Society. I have had articles published in the ISGS Quarterly, Family Tree Magazine, and the APG Quarterly. I have also presented lectures for local societies on topics such as genealogy fraud, creating shadowboxes, and writing case studies.

Research Specialties
I have experience working with records throughout Illinois and the Midwest. In particular, I enjoy researching fellow Luxembourger families, whether for dual citizenship purposes, or for learning more about our shared culture and heritage.
